The Park James, a boutique luxury hotel in the South Bay Area, showcases salvaged Left Coast White Oak ThinClad tongue and groove paneling as the focus in the grand lobby, glistening with hundreds of floating lights above. The whimsical design, by Parisa O’Connell Designs, offers a curated and personal experience throughout the space that exudes a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere.
2. Crane Shed Commons
This multi-use space located in Bend, Oregon, shows how reclaimed teak wood can shine in a contemporary shared office design. Our old-growth reclaimed Sakhay Teak solid wall paneling clads the walls along the stairway, which provides panoramic views of the high desert with expansive windows.
3. Chillhouse
This contemporary spa and cafe, located in NYC, accents its marble counters and whitewashed walls with reclaimed Sugar Teak as paneling for benches and counters. The soft, frosted white look of the Sugar Teak enhances the overall “chill” feeling that Chillhouse exudes, offering a modern and sleek interior for luxurious relaxation.
4. Fidelity Office San Francisco
The Fidelity office in San Francisco exemplifies how reclaimed and salvaged wood can balance a high-tech, modern open office design. Salvaged Left Coast White Oak ThinClad paneling is used throughout the office, complementing the green wall and bright geometric accents in the space.
5. ISU CHHS
The new 185,000 square-foot College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at Indiana State University (ISU) is designed with sustainability in mind, including reclaimed Sakhay Teak paneling lining the entire length of the staircase.
6. JSC Penthouse
Distressed Grey Medley Oak adds texture to this up-scale penthouse, designed by Neumann Monson Architects. The weathered oak paneling balances the ultra-modern design aesthetic, giving the space a greater sense of depth.
7. The Moran Apartments
This hip and luxury apartment building, designed by Parisa O’Connell Designs, showcases reclaimed Heritage Oak tongue and groove wall paneling, which is resurfaced to show the beautiful character and grain patterning of the oak. The character grade wood adds personality and comfort to the modern, light-drenched lobby, welcoming guests in the space.
8. Willow & Whisk
This hip cafe in Wyckof, NJ serves up bold and modern design with its upscale comfort food. A slate-toned feature wall with reclaimed Blackboard Pine wood wall cladding adds contrast to the opposing brick wall. The wood used for this project was reclaimed from high school bleachers, and have been transformed and reimagined in this elevated cafe interior.
