Anthology Woods products ship via common carrier LTL freight in a box van/truck. Occasionally orders will ship by flatbed truck, curtain van or dedicated semi-truck (depending on the size of the material or the size of the order). Your Materials Quote will indicate which shipping services are provided for your order. Anthology Woods products are shipped in boxes, sub-bundles or dead-stacked (larger orders) on pallets suitable for the rigors of freight transport. All materials will be banded with metal or plastic strapping, include corner and edge protection and be shrink-wrapped in plastic to prevent movement while shipping.
As the customer, it is your responsibility to unload your materials upon arrival; drivers will not unload your order from the truck (with the exception of orders with a length structure under 8’ long, which the driver may lower to the ground by lift-gate, if requested). The most efficient way to unload your order from the delivery vehicle is by forklift, however, orders can be unloaded by hand with a few individuals. Please make sure to have adequate help available as trucking companies offer limited unloading time. Your account manager will discuss the best delivery options for your situation when taking your order.
You may request additional shipping services when placing your order including guaranteed or expedited shipping, delivery appointments, lift-gates or other services. Simply let your account manager know what you need when placing your order. Upon arrival, inspect your order for any visible signs of damage from shipping and indicate any visible damage on the Bill Of Lading (BOL) prior to accepting the shipment. Document any visible damage with digital photos before opening the unit, as a reference in the event of a claim.
