Reclaimed Character Oak Paneling Throughout Public Library Space
Description
The Waunakee Library, built in 2019, provides a variety of community resources within the 40,000 square foot space. The library includes multiple collaborative areas, meeting rooms and dedicated children’s program spacs for an inclusive learning environment.
A central staircase leads up to the second floor, where visitors can look into a study room framed by our Heritage Oak ThinClad paneling. In addition to this striking wood-framed interior window, the design team at OPN Architects installed feature walls throughout the space with the same reclaimed wood cladding to bring nature and warmth onto the space.
