Deep SUmi
Shou Sugi Ban Charred Effect Without the Mess. Textured Black Wood Paneling & Siding
Deep obsidian and slate tones mix with rich textural grain to invoke the spirit of traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, which involves burning and charring wood as a protective exterior finish. Currently available on oak, pine, fir, cedar and redwood, our Deep Sumi products are finished with a specialty protective low-VOC poly top coat that emotes the same rich “charred” effect without the mess and flaking that is common with Shou Sugi Ban.
Choose our Deep Sumi Cedar, Fir or Redwood for exterior siding or any Deep Sumi options as an elegant and bold choice for interior wall and ceiling paneling projects.
