Wide Plank European-Style White Oak Flooring in this Serene Lake House

Description

This 1960’s lakeside cabin just got a big makeover. Located near a sandy spit on this lake in Wisconsin, this midcentury retreat now reflects the family’s joy and peace they experience while visiting the home.

Victoria Sass, of Prospect Refuge Studio made sure to reflect the sense of play and happiness in the home while providing a fresh, sophisticated look.

An Elle Decor article on the home’s aesthetic describes the design as having a “sophisticated summer camp” feel, with Legacy White Oak wide plank flooring, bright art and plaid patterning.

I wanted it to feel energetic, happy, joyful, and child-friendly, so the biggest challenge was making sure there was enough color but not too much, so that it still felt earthy and grounded.

The overall design is light, bright, fun and at the same time relaxed and natural. The perfect place to come, stay, eat, play and spend quality time together by the lake.
