Anthology Woods Joins Mattoboard’s Digital Material Board Tool

Mattoboard Digital 3D Material Sampling Tool is Fun & Effective for Interior Design Inspiration

What is Mattoboard?

Mattoboard is a new 3D digital sampling tool, allowing designers to seriously up their mood board game. Instead of ordering physical samples, which requires materials, labor, shipping and packaging and can lead to unnecessary waste, Mattoboard allows designers to create these realistic boards at the click of a button.

How to use Mattoboard

Thankfully, Mattoboard is quite easy and intuitive to use, as it offers drag-and-drop usability and editing features for unlimited looks. You can add blank objects and change the size, rotation, angle, color, texture and sheen, as well as how far back or forward you want the object to sit in relation to the objects.

You can add a background and change the overall lighting of the scene, depending on your preferences. The boards are photo-realistic, showing how the materials will react in different lighting environments.

When to Use Mattoboard

Material mood boards are an essential step in mapping the design direction for an architectural or interior design project. Compiling material swatches together helps the designer understand the overall look and feel of the space, as well as if the different materials will work together for a cohesive design.

Why Use Mattoboard?

There are numerous benefits of moving towards digital material sampling and visualization systems, as it reduces labor, material waste and time needed for this step in the design process. Mattoboard’s growing library of materials offers almost unlimited options at the click of a button, exposing designers and architects to new brands.
